Hey Everyone! So we have an awesome announcement to make! The past two weekends we have been helping out at Have Yourself A Gothic Little Christmas and Last Minute Christmas Craft Show to raise money for Abby of Above The Row who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Last weekend from Gothic Christmas 2019 a table for next year's event was raffled off, raising $900! This weekend at the Last Minute Christmas Craft Show 2019 we were donated a table to use, and all of the vendors donated prizing to raffle off in one MASSIVE prize! We sold almost 500 tickets, and Tina walked away with a giant basket overflowing with more goodies than you could count (Picture attached!). On top of donating prizing to the raffle Sarah Christie Illustration also contributed an additional $19.50, bringing our total raised this weekend to $865.70! Over the course of the two weekends a grand total of $1765.70 has been raised. It has been amazing to see the support of the community, and it's nice to be able to help out someone who is a big part of the community.

This is it folks, the moment you have all been waiting for! Firstly, for your viewing pleasure, here are our expenses for last year, and this year. We had raised more money later in the year, after our donation, so that is contributing to the amazing total for this year! 2018 Expense/Income breakdown: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VK8uUmu41GKJA--RHMduJtDN68wn4HXIy1_VA4lRzDA/edit?usp=sharing 2019 Expense/Income breakdown: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hnAbR_Vz_V_FUg95RBnU-eyaAxRfonOXiH4IEIDfPBk/edit?usp=sharing As always, we pride ourselves on transparency, so if you have any questions, or would like to see any invoices at all, please don't hesitate to ask! A huge thanks to everyone who made this event possible. Our board of seven amazing directors pour their heart, soul, and countless hours into every event we do, as well as our many volunteers who are invaluable to our growing success. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the support we received this year from Monster Energy, Nearby Planet VR, Ubisoft Halifax, The Last Game Store, Hal-Con Sci-Fi Fantasy Association, Spring Geequinox, our awesome vendors, and of course everyone who participates or contributes in our events. This brings us to our grand total for the year. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, this is worth over 7000. For our 2019 donation we were able to donate a WHOPPING $7,041.95! So thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts for helping us help those in need. Here is to another year of gaming goodness and fighting the fight against cancer! Hello ladies and gentleman! We just wanted to make a quick post to let you know that we haven't forgotten about posting our official donation total and breakdown. We had to wait a fairly long time for Dalhousie to finally get back to us with a completed invoice so we could pay our venue expenses. And now unfortunately our contact at the Canadian Cancer Society that we deal with is out of office, so we've reached out to additional contacts (as per their automated email response) to hopefully speed this along! Just wanted to provide an update so you had visibility on what's been going on, and to let you know that hopefully we'll be able to post our full details and donation confirmation in a week or two. Thanks so much for being patient! - The GOC Team
